Social Design is the creation of new social conditions — in cities, corporate cultures, or communities — resulting in increased creativity, equity, social justice, resilience, and a healthy connection to nature. This presentation will share MFA DSI's unique curriculum, a 3-year partnership with Montefiore Hospital's Social Medicine residency and community-based organizations in the Bronx, and examples of innovative student work at DSI and beyone. By building and expanding on possibilities of what design can be, we embrace and find new ways to tackle past, current, and future questions about how to shape our world.
