Roger Ball教授带领人体扫描实验室团队利用最新技术开发出适合人体的设计工具。他的获奖项目 “SizeChina” 聚焦3D人体测量研究，创建了中国首个数字化头面部数据库。作为香港理工大学亚洲人体工程学实验室的创始人，他的团队推动了为全球品牌开发的“中国专属”产品。他的研究客户包括罗萨奥蒂卡、微软、3M、卡地亚、神念科技和太阳马戏团。他在意大利多莫斯设计学院获得艺术硕士学位，在荷兰代尔夫特理工大学获得设计工程博士学位。

工业设计硕士专业依托佐治亚理工悠久的科研传统，强调以用户为中心的设计流程和基于证据的设计实践，为学生提供探索新技术和现有技术设计的独特机会。该专业配备的师资均为从业设计师和资深专家，在以下领域均有研究中的项目：通信技术中的有形产品、支持性产品体系、康复技术、医疗系统技术。
持有获认可中国或海外全日制学士学位；
符合以下任一英语能力要求（有小分要求），托福100分或以上，雅思7分或以上；
提交作品集和三封推荐信；
完成网申。

Professor Ball and his team in the Body Scan Lab develop design tools for fitting the human body using the latest technologies. His award-winning 3D anthropometric study, SizeChina, created the first digital database of Chinese head and face shapes. As the founder of the Asian Ergonomic Lab at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University his team drove the development of "China-fit” products for global brands. Ball's research clients include Luxottica, Microsoft, 3M, Cartier, Neurosky, and Cirque du Soleil. Professor Ball holds an MFA from the Domus Academy in Milan and a Ph.D. in Design Engineering from TU Delft in the Netherlands.

Under the umbrella of the Georgia Tech Master of Industrial Design program held at GTSI, the multidisciplinary nature of design thinking and design research combine seamlessly with students who have unique academic and professional experiences to create an extremely educational and interdisciplinary field of thinking. The program focuses on the designer's role in bridging the gap between people and technology, with the aim of enabling designers to connect the two in a more humane way. The program areas focus on interaction design, healthcare design, service design, product design, and user experience research.
The Master of Industrial Design program builds on Georgia Tech's long tradition of research, emphasizing user-centered design processes and evidence-based design practices that provide students with unique opportunities to explore the design of new and existing technologies. The program is taught by practicing designers and senior experts with research projects in the following areas: tangible products in communication technologies, supportive product systems, rehabilitation technologies, and medical systems technologies.
Holds a full-time accredited Chinese or overseas bachelor's degree.
Meet any of the following English language proficiency requirements (with sub-score requirements): TOEFL 100 and above, IELTS 7 or above.
Submit a portfolio of work and three letters of recommendation.
Complete the online application.
